About the Workshop
This is an introductory workshop that combines lantern-making with calligraphy.
We’ll begin by studying the structure of Chinese characters and practicing traditional brush techniques; if you’d like, the instructor will also demonstrate how to apply these strokes to English lettering. In the second half, you’ll hand-assemble a paper lantern and mount your own calligraphy onto it.
Finally, we’ll install a light to make your calligraphy glow, transforming your work into a luminous piece that carries your story.

Moments from Our Workshops
Ke Bao graduate in the Goldsmith college and has practiced Chinese calligraphy and seal engraving since he was a kid. He possesses a unique style and perspective on traditional Chinese calligraphy.
